What is JEE Main?

JEE Main stands for Joint Entrance Examination Main, which is a national-level entrance exam conducted in India for admission to various undergraduate engineering and architecture courses in top engineering colleges and universities in the country. JEE Main is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) twice a year – in January and April.

The exam is a computer-based test (CBT) and comprises multiple-choice questions (MCQs) based on the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. The duration of the exam is three hours.

The scores obtained in JEE Main are used by various engineering colleges and universities in India to admit students to their undergraduate engineering and architecture courses.
