11th, 12th CBSE & State Board

CBSE and State Boards are the two major education boards in India for Class 11th and 12th. The syllabus for these two boards is different, and the exam pattern and evaluation criteria may also vary.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is a national-level board of education in India for public and private schools. CBSE follows a curriculum that is more focused on application-based learning rather than just rote learning. The CBSE board exams for Class 10th and 12th are conducted at the national level.

State Boards, on the other hand, are boards of education in India that are set up by various state governments. Each state board follows its own curriculum, which may be different from that of the CBSE. State boards generally follow a more content-based curriculum, and the exam pattern may differ from state to state.

When it comes to admission to undergraduate engineering programs in India through entrance exams like JEE Main and JEE Advanced, both CBSE and State Board students can appear for the exams. However, the eligibility criteria for the exams may differ, and the difficulty level of the exams may also vary.

In general, it’s important for students to focus on understanding the concepts and building a strong foundation in their chosen subjects, regardless of which board they are studying in. This will not only help them perform well in their board exams but also in competitive entrance exams like JEE Main, JEE Advanced & NEET.
